MATERIALS THAT WE USE:
We have a lot of fun browsing through flea markets, antique stores, estate sales, and other places to locate the materials that we use for our garden art and wind chimes. The forks, knives, and spoons are all silver plated and of antique or vintage age. We strive to keep all of the other metal pieces in our wind chimes silver plated as well, but from time to time we do use other materials.
All of our wind chimes are made with stainless steel coated wire - you won't find any fishing line here! They are made to be durable, and are wind tested in our yard.
The beads we use are of the highest quality - always glass or crystal - never any plastic.
The disks on our necklaces are made of either copper, brass, aluminum, stainless steel, or silver plate. We do also use stamping blanks that are made of pewter.
DETAILS ABOUT METAL STAMPING:
Your piece is made to order, and is hand crafted in like style and fashion to the photos within each. Like a snowflake, no two are ever exactly alike, and stamping depth and placement may vary ever so slightly with each piece. We do not use a template, and each letter and character is hand stamped one by one. This is what makes them unique and truly made from the heart!
Due to the depth of the imprint that each letter and character makes, we are unable to do any metal stamping on the back side of any of our projects unless noted in the description.
Custom orders are always welcomed. Please be sure to message us in advance so that we are sure to be able accommodate your request.
We accept payments through PayPal or with a major credit or debit card.
Packages will NOT be sent until a payment has been received and has been confirmed as being cleared. Customers are obliged to pay immediately upon setting up a custom order. If payment has not been received within 24 hours, the transaction will be cancelled. Please take note that if an E Check is used via PayPal there can be a lengthy processing time before funds are confirmed and cleared. If an E Check is used as payment for a custom order, we cannot begin to make your order until the funds have been cleared and confirmed.
If you are having issues with any part of the checkout process, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will assist you however we can.
If you have any special requests, please be sure to notate them in the note to seller section at check out. Please do not include notes in the pay pal section, as we often do not see those until it is too late. We do work off of our paid invoices directly to avoid any errors or confusion.
Any special arrangements that have been made for an order must be paid for within 24 hours unless otherwise specified. Outside of that time frame we cannot guarantee that such an arrangement will be honored.
The majority of the items in our shop are made to order. We do our best to get your order out within a few days, and sometimes if the timing is right we can even get your order out the next day. However during peak ordering times, such as the holidays, our processing time does slow down due to the volume of orders we receive. Please allow for extra delivery time of up to three weeks or more during the holiday season. Custom orders will be shipped according to the timeline as outlined in the order. If there is any question on delivery time, please email us and we can give you an estimated date. All packages will be sent via the United States Postal Service. We are quite creative with our packaging, often using recycled materials, and each order is packaged with great care to assure a safe delivery. A tracking number will be provided to the buyer once the item has been shipped.
All orders are sent via First Class mail, unless noted otherwise. At checkout you are given the option to upgrade the shipping to most locations. Please keep in mind that shipping upgrades speed up the delivery process with the Postal Service but do not speed up our own processing time.
We do offer combined shipping, which is calculated at checkout. When ordering multiple items, we will refund any excessive shipping overages. Or if you prefer, you can reach out to us prior to ordering and we can set up a reserved listing with the final combined shipping price. When purchasing multiple items it is helpful to contact us in advance to be sure you are being charged the best shipping rate possible.
We will only ship to the address that is listed in the ship to section with NO exceptions. Unfortunately if we do not follow this rule we are subject to losing our seller protection for that transaction. Please make sure the address is correct prior to making a purchase as we are unable to make any corrections once payment has been received. We can cancel the sale, and you may repurchase using the correct address in the event that a change needs to be made.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING IS AVAILABLE: Please contact us directly prior to ordering to discuss costs and availability if there are any questions. Some countries do charge a tax, customs, or surcharge fee on incoming packages - WE DO NOT cover these fees, so please be sure to educate yourself on any additional charges you may incur when picking up your package from the Post Office.
We do provide insurance on all international packages via U-Pic insurance. We can also provide this for Domestic packages for an additional fee - this is set up with a special invoice.

If an order is received from any of these locations we will cancel the order and refund any funding that has been received.
At Whispering Metalworks we believe in reusing as many materials as possible; your shipment will be packaged with love, care, and re-purposed packing materials to ensure your item arrives safely.
While we can guarantee when your package will go out on our end, we do not control the speed of the Postal Service. Lost, delayed, or damaged packages will be handled on a case by case basis.
All of our key chains, necklaces, charms, rings, and bracelets come packaged in a cute little Kraft paper brown box tied with a raffia bow and are ready to give as a gift. If you would prefer to have us not tie the raffia so that you can take a peek at the order before gifting it we can include it in your packaging untied. A personalized note can be included as well - simply notate the wording upon checkout. There is no charge for the box or the note.

Many of our items are made to order and fully customized, and therefore cannot be cancelled once a purchase has been made. Unless an error is made on our part, we do not offer refunds or exchanges.
We do warrant our craftsmanship, but do not warrant for paint or plate loss or loss of feathers on any of our supplies that arrive to us pre-manufactured. An example of this would be with our fishing lures. Those are an actual lure that we add our own handmade touch to, by hand stamping on the wording and converting them in a key chain. Many of the items we sell are meant to be novelty items and with different types of use, they will experience wear. Our warranty for craftsmanship is valid for 30 days from the date we place it into the mail, and we will offer an exchange for any items we deem to be flawed due to our own error. Arrangements must be made in advance for any exchanges. Photo evidence will be required, as well as returning the item in the item in the original condition we sent it out in.
We do have many of our items cross posted on other sites and we often participate in local artistic selling venues. We diligently keep track of our inventory, but in the rare event that something sells out prior to removing the listing and it is re-purchased, we will immediately refund your money. This is not something that has ever happened, but we do want to make notice of it just in case.

Our flatware pieces are for decorative / ornamental purposes only and not intended to be used as cooking or eating utensils as we cannot guarantee that the paint I use to darken the lettering on the stamping is classified as food safe.
We do our very best to offer a quality product at a low price. Although not at all common, there is the possibility of paint or plate loss with some of our findings, chains, charms, or other jewelry pieces. Our plated metals may contain nickel, and therefore may not be suited for those with sensitivities. Whenever possible we do use stainless steel for added strength and durability and to avoid these sensitivity issues.
Much of our work contains small pieces that are not appropriate for small children. Please use discretion when ordering any of our items for children.
The flatware that we use is either vintage or antique and does show signs of wear and age - some more than others - and some have monograms on the stem. This adds to the character and charm and makes one think of the wonderful history behind the story of each piece.
