You asked for it and we have listened!

Just as any business, we are a constant work in progress.  It has all been a learning experience, but fortunately we have been able to adapt and grow as things change.  Your feedback has gotten us to where we are today, and we are so very thankful for it!

As you stroll through our web site, you will notice a few changes that we have made already.

No longer will you have to wade through page after page of items that have "sold out".  We have cleaned things up, and are making sure that only the "available" items are posted.  We do not have everything posted yet, but we are actively working on getting all of our inventory loaded onto our web page and available for purchase. Our plan is to set up a gallery that will showcase some of our previous items that have sold, just in case you are looking for inspiration or ideas with a custom order.

We have made a big change with our process in choosing your  Swarovski Crystal color.  Now instead of having to notate your color choice at checkout, you will have the ability to choose from a drop down menu to make your selection.  We have streamlined things a bit...and within this drop down menu you will see 12 color choices - each corresponds with a birthstone month.  Of course, we do still have many other colors available, and you can contact us directly to make any special requests.

In an effort to be fair to those with metal sensitivities and allergies, we are working on using stainless steel as much as possible with our clasps, rings, headpins, and other findings.  These cause far less skin irritation than the plated connections, and do not show signs of wear of fading.  In the coming months we will be offering stainless steel chains as well!  We actually do have them now upon request, and will be working on adjusting our listings accordingly. Of course, all of our flatware is still silver plated, along with the flatware we use for our garden spoons and wind chimes.

We had a FANTASTIC time at the Fremont Fair in Seattle Washington this year, and are already looking forward to next year. Thank you to all of you that stopped by our booth to say hello.  We made some great new friends too, and were contacted by some excellent prospects for future shows.

As of right now, we do have applications in process for at least one more show this year.  We will keep you posted when we have any firm dates set up.

To all of the truckers wives (and girlfriends, husbands, etc) that have shared so much support for our line of trucking related jewelry ...a GREAT BIG THANK YOU!  These necklaces, key chains, bracelets, and car mirror adornments have been the hottest selling items in our shop - and we make each and every one with a heart full of love and pride.  For all you truckers out there - keep the shiny side up!

It's that magical time of year once again!  We here at Whispering Metalworks have been busy with Santa's elves getting ready with lots of gifts, goodies, treasures, and surprises for all of your holiday shopping needs.  

A few weeks ago we introduced our local fans to our latest creation, which is what we call our "Silver Plated Bell Necklace". We were excited to see how well it was received, and they have quickly turned into one of our hottest sellers.  They are flying off the shelves, and our little elves are working night a day to assure that there are plenty of them to go around! Our most popular piece to date has been the daffodil pattern, which in this photo we have adorned with a sparkly yellow Swarovsi crystal.

These bell necklaces have an absolutely amazing sound with a gentle ting ting ting a ling.  We are very selective in the flatware that we use, and each piece is hand selected for its shape, style, and design.  The clapper (that's the little piece on the inside of the bell that dangles to make the sound) is made from a piece of a fork tine.  And on the top, you will find the ever classy Swarovski crystal for a hint of sparkle and color.  For the chain we use a silver plated link style necklace which gives it a more sophisticated and elegant look.  We run each of them through a professional jewelry polisher, which brings them to a brilliant shine and eliminates any sharp edges.  

We really pride ourselves in our ability to take discarded flatware and turn it into these wonderful and unique works of art.  Each is truly one of a kind and that is what makes them such a special gift.  We have customers from around the world that share their stories with us regarding their purchases ... a gift for a best friend that is moving to a new location far away ... a gift for a co-worker that is leaving for a new job ... a birthday present for a special sister that has just about everything and is difficult to shop for ....a Christmas gift for mom to show her how much she is loved.

Each bell necklace is carefully wrapped in a Kraft brown paper gift box and tied with a raffia bow.  We offer free shipping within the United States, and International shipping is available as well. As many of you know, we love to do contests and giveaways.  And what better time than the launch of our new web page to do another fun promotion? :)  So here we go!

In the past we have offered up a specific item for grabs, such as a wind chime, a garden spoon, or a necklace.  But this time the choice will be yours, as we will be giving away store credit to make your own prize choices!

YIPPEE!  Today is the day that we have been anxiously waiting for ...the launch of our brand new web page.  This is a big step for us and our business, and we are excited to share it with all of you.  Of course, as with any new transition, there might be a few little tweaks that we need to make, but we have worked hard to make this new shopping experience a smooth one for all of you.

With this new page we do have some exciting new features to announce.  First and foremost, we are offering FREE SHIPPING on all orders within the United States! We will still continue to utilize the United States Postal Service and all packages will ship via First Class or Priority mail. You can now order with ease, knowing that you don't have to factor in those pesky shipping costs!  Each and every one of you is important to us, and we offer this benefit as a thank you for your continued support.

Many of you have been following us since the very start, and we thank you so very much for your patronage. We have grown by leaps and bounds, and have made some excellent friends along the way.   We will be announcing quite a few new changes over the coming weeks, and do hope to make this fun for all of us!

We started out with that very first wind chime made out of a butter dish and some silver plated flatware that our Nana had given us ...straight from her own kitchen.  As our confidence grew, we experimented with the metal stamping and expanded from there.  Who would have thought that our very first necklace ..."Never stop making wishes"...is still our biggest customer favorite today!
